Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Sol Studio Beauty Lounge Booking System (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects information. The App is an internal booking-management tool used by Sol Studio Beauty Lounge staff and administrators to schedule appointments, track payments, and manage the salon’s Google Calendar. It is not a public consumer app — access is limited to authorized salon staff.

Who operates this app

The App is operated by Sol Studio Beauty Lounge for internal use by its own staff and administrators.

Information we collect

Staff account information: when a staff member or administrator signs in with Google, we receive their name, email address, and profile picture from Google to identify them and determine their access level (admin or staff).
Google Calendar data: with the signed-in staff member’s permission, the App creates, updates, and deletes events on the salon’s Google Calendar(s) to reflect bookings made in the system. The App only manages calendar events it creates for bookings — it does not read or modify other calendar events.
Customer booking information: staff enter customer names, phone numbers, requested services, appointment times, and payment details directly into the App in order to manage bookings. This information is provided by the salon, not collected directly from customers by the App.
Business records: the App also stores salon business records such as expenses and revenue reports, entered by staff for internal reporting.

How we use this information

Information collected by the App is used solely to operate the booking system: authenticating staff, scheduling and syncing appointments to Google Calendar, autofilling returning customers’ contact details, and generating internal reports on bookings, revenue, and expenses. We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

How we share information

We do not share information with third parties, except as strictly necessary to operate the App:

With Google, via the Google Calendar API, solely to create and maintain calendar events corresponding to bookings.
With our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Neon), who store and serve the App’s data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.

Data storage and security

Data is stored in a private, password-protected database and is only accessible to signed-in staff and administrators whose Google accounts have been explicitly authorized. Access to sensitive reports (such as the full customer list) is further restricted to administrators only.

Data retention and deletion

Booking and business records are retained for as long as needed for the salon’s normal operations and recordkeeping. Customers or staff who wish to request that their information be corrected or deleted may contact us using the details below.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The App’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
